League of Legends Season 14: LoL Roadmap 2024 — Patch Schedule

While all corners of Runeterra, from Noxus to Ionia, from Demasia to Zaun, are getting ready to celebrate the New Year, Riot Games is preparing LoL players for the Long Season and its upcoming updates. The developers of the popular MOBA have revealed an update release roadmap and revealed the full schedule of patch releases in LoL in 2024.

What is waiting for players when the 14th season of League of Legends starts?

The new season of League of Legends will start on Wednesday, 10 January 2024, together with the release of LoL patch 14.1. Several major changes are waiting for players right away. Let's take a brief look at the major changes:

New Season 14 Theme

In the year 2024, the Void will be in charge of the Callers' Gorge. These will be both visual changes and gameplay changes. We'll talk about the latter a bit below.

Updated Ranked Season

The season is now divided into three splits, up from two in 2023. Players are rewarded for each split.

Major item changes

Riot Games has redesigned the Mythic item system, which will now be absent from the game. A total of 23 items will be removed, and in their place will come new items, of which there will be 20

Changes to maps and forest monsters.

Riot partially changed the map, adding new paths and trails, which will clearly affect the gameplay. In addition, LoL will be seriously redesigned forest monster camps. Especially significant looks like the addition of Void Grubs, which will replace Rift Gerald for the first 14 minutes of the game. Killing them will give players buffs for building fluff, and killing six Void Grubs will give them the ability to summon a Void Creature to help break enemy bases.

A rework of the title of Nashor's Lair's inhabitant, the Herold of the Abyss. In season 14 he will be able to be saddled and now he will be able to attack not only buildings, but also enemy champions, which will greatly diversify the gameplay.

Obviously, with the release of patch 14.1 on the 10th of January, new skins will appear in the game. This time it will be Dragonmancer skins, which will include 5 images for 4 champions: Kassadin, Fiora, Vayne and Rakan. The latter will also get a prestige variant of the look.
