Maksym ShylovThe Bali Major 2023 is the third and final Dota 2 Major Championship in the DPC 2023 professional season. The international tournament is organised by IO Esports in association with Epulze. The tournament is the most anticipated event for spectators and players alike, and aside from the impressive prize pool, is also a coveted DPC point pool for qualification for the main event of the year, The International 2023.
The top 18 teams from all ranking regions will battle it out for the $500,000 prize pool and 3,500 DPC points. The winners of the previous Major event, the ESL One Berlin Major 2023, were the Gaimin Gladiators. They earned $200,000 and 500 DPC points. Bali Major 2023 dates and schedule
IO Bali Major 2023 will be held in LAN format. The venue will be Ayana Estate Hotel in Bali, Indonesia. The matches will start on June 29 this year and the champion of the last Major event of the year will be determined on July 9. The tournament will be played in two stages, between which the teams will have one day off. The organizers offer visitors two types of tickets: standard ticket which costs $338 and premium ticket which sells for $888.

Bali Major 2023 format
As you already know, the Bali Major 2023 will be held in two stages. First, 18 teams will be divided into two groups of Single Round-Robin format where they will play bo2 matches. At the end of the group stage, the teams that finish in the top 4 of their group will qualify for the top play-offs. Competitors who finish the group stage in 5th-6th place will receive slots in the lower net of the final stage. The remaining teams will finish in the Major tournament.
The play-offs of the Bali Major 2023 will be played in the traditional Double-Elimination. 12 teams will qualify for the final round of the championship, 8 of which will play in the main draw and 4 teams will wait for their opponents in the bottom draw. The format for all matches except the grand final is bo3. The Major event champion will be decided by the results of the bo5 series.

Bali will host 18 participants from all official Dota 2 regions. A total of 4 teams from Western Europe, 3 teams from Eastern Europe, 2 teams from North America, 2 teams from South America, 4 teams from China and 3 from Southeast Asia will be represented.

The current professional Dota 2 Major tournaments model allows only teams from the top 8 to take prize money.
Prize money allocation at Bali Major 2023:
- 1st place - $200,000 and 600 DPC points
- 2nd place - $100,000 and 550 DPC Points
- 3rd place - $75,000 and 500 DPC points
- 4th place - $50,000 and 450 DPC points
- 5th-6th place - $25,000 and 400 DPC points
- 7th-8th place - $12,500 and 300 DPC Points
