Biography miCKe
Michael «miCKe» Vu is a professional Dota 2 player. Michael has started the career relatively recently, being a pretty young and promising player, he has already received the status of a stable high-level performer. We present to your attention miCKe’s road to becoming an esportsman.
The beginning of the career
Like the majority of esportsmen, miCKe’s career had started way before his arrival to a professional organization. miCKe spent a lot of time playing video games, mastering from day to day. As a result, it brought its results and miCKe joined his first team at the age of 17.
Team Doge was the first club miCKE was playing for. This was the Swedish team, which consisted of the players from that region. With Team Doge, miCKe managed to expose himself at ProDotA Cup Europe #9 and WESG 2016 Sweden Qualifier where the team placed 7th-8th and 3rd-4th, respectively. In October 2016, miCKe and his four Team Doge teammates moved to SOLIDUDES. They continued participating in local championships.
SOLIDUDES held the 3rd place at StarLadder ProSeries Season 16 where miCKe earned his first money by playing Dota 2. The team performed at Dota 2 Championship League Season 9, ProDotA Cup Europe #12, and StarLadder ProSeries Season 17 later. miCKe and the company were unable to achieve success at these tournaments.
Having played for SOLIDUDES from October 2016 to February 2017, miCKe moved to a new club – Prodota Gaming. However, the player did not stay for long there. The player became a member of the team Tuho in July but the results still left much more to be desired there. The turning point in miCKe’s career happened in November 2017.
Alliance and the first success
Having become a part of Alliance in November 2017, miCKe literally reached a new level. Now, he had the opportunity to show his maximum, playing against the best teams from Europe and the world. The first months of being in Alliance were tough for miCKe. The team played at small tournaments where it did not demonstrate results. The breakthrough happened only in 2018.
In October 2018, miCKe with the team achieved victory at the first big championship – Reshuffle Madness, after which they fell off the grid again. Alliance returned closer to 2019.
The team held the 2nd place at StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor Season 2 in June 2019, after which it finished 5th-6th in the standings of EPICENTER Major 2019 that month, which allowed the team to make it to The International 2019 directly. The team failed there, having placed only 13th-16th but earned a lot of experience.
After TI9, miCKe with the team left the roster of the organization and transferred to the equally famous club, Team Liquid.
Team Liquid and personal achievements
Having moved to Team Liquid as a full synergized roster in October 2019, the team needed no time to start playing together. The team held the 5th-6th place at MDL Chengdu Major in November, after which finished in the same way at DreamLeague Season 13 two months later.
With the pandemic coming to esports, the team continued playing stable. The team placed 3rd at WePlay! Pushka League S1: Division 1, 2nd at OGA Dota PIT 2020 Online: Europe/CIS, and 3rd at BEYOND EPIC: Europe/CIS. MiCKe has already earned more than 222,000 dollars of prize money in his career.
