More about tournaments:

Greetings to all fans of eSports and League of Legends in particular! This will be the first material in a series of digests on the summer split from Europe -LEC Summer 2022. The Continental League is now taking over the world in its semi-annual cycle, with many teams competing within their home regions. And if you didn’t have time to watch the games yourself, this is a good opportunity to quickly and in detail learn about the details!

Briefly about the tournament itself. The LEC Summer 2022 summer split is the main event in Europe and the second and final split of each esports season (year) for League of Legends. 10 teams from all over the continent are fighting for a prize of €200,000 EUR and, most importantly, access to the Worlds 2022. By the way, unlike in Asia, three of the best, and not just one, European teams will have the opportunity to perform at this year's Worlds. The group stage will last 8 in-game weeks, until August 14, and all matches will be in Bo1 format.

Starting this week , the entire professional scene has moved to patch 12.12, which means that now we will see the new Bel'Vet jungler both in drafts and in bans!

Matches of the day LEC Summer 2022

Briefly about the events and interesting moments in each of the meetings!

MSF vs BDS

The first match of the day did not please us with anything, except for a small comeback from Misfits Gaming. We congratulate them on their second victory. A very slow draw on the map with minimal fights for objects, by the 21st minute there were only 6 deaths in total. To my surprise, Team BDS didn't come up with anything with the draft and took the usual meta pick, gave the opponent time to scale and blew it. A boring but confident meeting from the Misfits.

VIT vs SK

Team Vitality defeated SK Gaming with the help of Bel'Vet! The very first match on the European pro-scene, where we see this champion in the forest and Haru immediately gets MVP on it. Otherwise, it was a slow map until the mid game, where skirmishes started, in which Vitality won confidently, thanks in large part to the new champion, who fits perfectly into the current buzzer meta.

RGE vs XL

A very interesting match where Excel met, who cheerfully broke into the summer split and the top-tier team of Europe Rogue. The latter took into account the opponent's playing style and started stomping them, preventing them from imposing a game, and thus defeated the beginning with the help of Trymbi roams on Nautilus and Malrang on Jarvan, which was all over the map. However, by the 20th minute, when active fights began, shooter XL Patrik revealed himself and the game turned upside down. Excel was able to take Nashor and control most of the map. But in the end, almost the entire team gave up one at a time, which brought all their advantage to naught and made it possible for Rogue to finish.

FNC vs AST

As expected, the match favorite Fantic showed a very clean map, where Astralis won without any problems. Throughout the game, FNC dominated the entire map, and when it came to team fights after the lane phase, their opponent completely fell apart. Although the compositions of both teams were not bad. It is also worth noting that AST took Bel'Vet into the woods, which showed itself well even in the game from falling behind. Strong champion.

G2 vs MAD

G2 Esports will always be the favorite, regardless of the matchup at the LEC, but, as it turns out, they can also lose. MAD Lions are in a very good shape now, and due to the format in Bo1, G2 simply didn't have time to adapt to their aggressive game. The Lions brazenly began to choke the mid-laner G2 caPs from which there is always too much influence on the game and this gave them a chance to win. Moreover, in this game we saw not only classic roams from support and jungler, but also ADK MAD Lions, who got Twitch. The invisible rat puzzled G2 Esports not only during the initial game, but also towards the end of the match, when UNF0RGIVEN went to the flank and almost soloed a quad-kill.
