Slowly but surely LEC Spring 2024 is coming to an end. Or rather, the Spring Split regular season is coming to an end.

Some teams have already made it to the play-offs and one of them is G2 Esports. However, this does not exempt them from playing in the remaining matches, as in the match between G2 and SK Gaming.

While this game doesn't matter for the Samurai, SK Gaming remains important. They have not yet guaranteed themselves passage to the play-offs and need to pick up as many wins as possible.

Let's try to find out who will be stronger in this match and get another victory in the LEC Spring 2024: Regular Season.

G2 Esports uniforms

We begin our match analysis with an analysis of the G2 Esports uniforms. "Samurai" will play the number one and the odds for their victory are at around 1.2.

At the beginning of last season, the Samurai made it to the UK capital to participate in MSI 2023 by winning the LEC Winter draw. Then G2 made it to the grand finals without much trouble and also beat MAD Lions quite easily

At LEC Spring 2023, G2 Esports played worse. They entered the play-offs of the tournament from the second match of their group, making it to the bottom of the play-offs. While there, they played against the Lions again, but were unable to repeat the success of the LEC Spring 2023: G2 Esports dropped out of the LEC Spring 2023 playoffs, but made it to the Mid-Season Invitational 2023.

Play-In for G2 Esports is successful and even easier than BLG's. G2 Esports didn't feel LOUD and easily shut down PSG Talon, beating both clubs 2-0.

Things were no longer as rosy in the Bracket Stage. In the first round, G2 Esports played Gen.G, probably the main contender for the championship title, and managed to take a card from them, which in the realities of today's competitive scene is more than good.

In the bottom set, G2 Esports met their main rival, MAD Lions. The European derby on the international stage ended with a confident victory for G2, confirming them as the best team in the LEC.

At the end of the only international event so far, G2 Esports finished in the top 6. The result is a good one.

Before the LEC Finals, the Samurai took another trophy to their headquarters. It was the trophy for the victory at LEC Summer 2023, where G2 easily defeated EXCEL in the Grand Final.

In the first round of LEC Finals 2023, G2 Esports played against Team BDS. The French gave a fight, but failed to pull more than 1 map.

G2 Esports had no problems first with MAD Lions to advance to the grand finals of LEC Finals 2023, and then in the finals they defeated Fnatic.

In the first match on the main stage of the year, G2 Esports played against Dplus. Being an outsider, the team managed to beat the titular Koreans, all thanks to Hans Sama's crowning Draven. Then they managed to beat not just anyone, but WBG, who subsequently took the top 2.

And then came the miscues, and quite serious ones at that. First they lost to Gen 0-2, then to Ledge or NRG 0-2 (which was a shocker), and finally they dropped out of Worlds 2023 after losing to Bibili Gaming.

G2 Esports will start their journey to LEC Winter 2024 with a match against BDS, one of G2's main rivals on their way to their championship. Expect a solid performance from G2. Next up will be a match against Karmine Corp, where it should be easier than the game against BDS. In fact it was, but the match with Rogue was probably the first sensation of last week, because G2 Ledgeili. Well, that's what the Bo1 is for.

During the regular season, LEC Winter 2024 demonstrated a standard game for themselves. G2 Esports won 7 out of 9 matches, sharing the top 1 of the table with BDS.

In the Long Corner play-offs LEC Winter 2024, G2 Esports easily defeated GiantX 2-0. Next, G2 Esports faced Fnatic in the quarter-finals, where the Orange looked good: they were able to pick up a map, but it didn't affect the outcome of the match. Next, G2 Esports met BDS in a match to advance to the grand finals and swatted the Frenchmen 3-0 without a hitch. Almost the same fate awaited MAD Lions KOI in the Grand Final, with only one card difference.

LEC Spring 2024 "Samurai" started the way they were expected to. A solid 3-0 lead in the group stage. As the second week of LEC Spring 2024 progressed, G2 Esports suffered their first loss against Fnatic, but won their remaining two matches.

G2 Esports' most popular champions

Gragas (3 matches, 66% wins) is sent to the top line.

In the forest, either Belveth (2 matches, 100% wins) or Maokai (2 games, 50% wins) or Gragas (2 matches, 50% wins).

On the centre line variety: Yasuo, Sylass, Cassiopeia, Sejuani and Yone have appeared in spades once each and won their game.

Of the shooters, Draven (3 matches, 66% wins) is playing.

On Support, Nautilus (2 matches, 50% wins), Nami (2 matches, 50% wins).

SK Gaming uniforms

We continue our match review with an analysis of SK Gaming's form. In this match they will play as an outsider. The odds for SK to win are at around 3.8.

The main achievement of SK Gaming last season was the debut winter LEC split. The team, being among the outsiders and previously ranked in the top 8 at LEC Spring and LEC Summer, managed not only to make it to the play-offs, but also put up a serious fight against MAD Lions in the match for the top 3.

What followed was much worse. At LEC Spring 2023 SK Gaming were not so confident. This time they managed to pass the regular season and bo1 matches, but not the group stage. SK fell in the top 7.

At LEC Summer 2023 SK Gaming almost repeated the spring result, with a slight improvement. They took the top 6, but thanks to the top 4 at LEC Winter 2023 they still reached the regional finals.

However, SK Gaming's achievements ended at the LEC 2023 finals. There they played the only match against BDS and lost 0-3 without a chance.

SK Gaming passed the group stage of LEC Winter 2024 quite well. The team played the regular season with the score 5-4.

In the first round of play-offs SK Gaming met Vitality. After a disgusting season Vitality cameback, and so that they managed to reach the second round of the upper grid, and SK Gaming went to the lower grid. There, they faced Team Heretics in the first round and proved to be stronger, despite being nominal outsiders. However, SK Gaming's way out of the LEC Winter 2024 play-offs ended with a second round play-offs match against Fnatic.

The first week of LEC Spring 2024 SK Gaming went pretty well. Out of three matches - two wins and one loss from the top 2 teams of LEC Winter 2024. The second week was less productive with one win and two losses.

The top SK Gaming picks were Gnar (2 games, 1 win), KSante (1 game, 0 wins), Camile (1 game, 1 win), Sion (1 game, 1 win), Renekton (1 game, 1 win).

Sejuani and Eliza are honoured in the forest. Both champions have appeared twice each and won both matches, but Vi and Kindred have lost their games.

The centre line performs on Sylas (2 matches, 50% wins), Kassadin (1 time, 0 wins), Azir, Syndra and Akali (1 game each and 100% wins).

From shooters - Zeri. The character appeared 3 times and won 2 matches, besides Varus (who lost the only match), Sivir and Lucian.

Karma, who has had enough of Karma, as well as Renata Glasc and Lulu. Yummi won two matches out of 3, Karma lost the only game, and Renata Glasc and Lulu won.

In this match I expect a classic game from G2 in terms of execution. I'm almost certain that they will play light, testing atypical picks, as they have already earned themselves a play-offs pass, but that should be enough to come out victorious on a personal performance.
