The last day of the second week of the LEC Spring 2024 Regular Season continues. We have two matches left to watch.

And one of them will be a clash between MAD Lions KOI and Rogue. At first glance, it may not seem like the match is worth the candle. Both teams are at the bottom of the standings and so far it seems that they have nothing to do in the play-offs.

However, this is also a very important match for both Rogue and MAD Lions KOI. Being in a similar position in the standings, a win here will guarantee a temporary breakaway from the chasers and temporarily move the winner away from the play-offs zone.

We are trying to figure out which of the teams will be stronger and improve their positions, and who will worsen the already deplorable situation.

For example, MSI 2023 and top 8 there, which is good in principle, but the result at LEC Summer 2023 is already sad. At the last LEC Championships MAD Lions, the reigning Spring Split champions, crashed out at the Top 7 position, which is clearly not the level.

"Lions" Long Sogpeg at Worlds 2023 with a loss to Cloud9 and continued their performance on the main stage of the year with a win in the European derby against BDS. In the third game, MAD Lions Ledge fought through a seemingly passable match against NRG Esports. In the decisive match at Worlds 2023, the team played against Weibo. Decisive because MAD Lions Ledge went 0-2 and crashed out of the Worlds.

MAD Lions will try to return to the top of the European League of Legends with a match against Team Heretics. It will be difficult for the Lions there, but they should win the game against SK Gaming, sort of. On the whole, it turned out to be the opposite: we beat Heretics and lost to SK Gaming. In the third match they played against Karmine Corp and it was a real extravaganza: The International ernet war between fans, about 750,000 thousand spectators at the peak and the final victory of MAD Lions.

MAD Lions went through the group stage with problems. The team closed the group with a score of 5-4.

In the first round of play-offs, the Lions met Fnatic. "Orange" played very well and slammed MAD Lions with a score of 2-0. After getting to the bottom of the play-offs MAD Lions KOI played against GiantX, where they beat one of the brightest teams from the LEC Summer 2023 at the end of last season. The Lions then went on to defeat Vitality. But in the third round of the lower grid they had to make serious trouble: they finished the series with Fnatic with a score of 3-2. The game against BDS in the small final of LEC Winter 2024 was similar, where MAD Lions barely defeated the French, who played with substitutes.

In the grand final of LEC Winter 2024, MAD Lions lost to G2 Esports 1-3. With that, they finished in the top 2 at LEC Winter 2024.

The first week of LEC Spring 2024 went 1-2. SK won, but Ledge beat G2 Esports and GiantX. As the second week progressed, MAD Lions KOI lost to both Karmine Corp and Vitality.

Fiora (2 matches, 100% wins) and KSante (2 matches, 50% wins) appeared in the top for MAD Lions most often. Renekton (1 game, 100% wins) and Gnar (1 game and that defeat) were also taken.

Sejuani (3 matches, 66% wins) is popular in the forest. Next is Wukong with 2 appearances and 50% wins, and there was also Maokai who won his only match.

We continue our match breakdown with an analysis of Rogue's match form. In this match, they play the number two, with win odds around 3.4.

Rogue had a very interesting position at LEC Winter 2024. The fact is that the team missed all of 2023 and only returned to the competitive League of Legends in the run-up to 2024. This is, in principle, a very logical decision, because in 2022 Rogue showed high results.

First, they proved themselves at LEC Spring 2022, reaching the Grand Final of the Spring Split. Then G2 stepped in and prevented Rogue from ending the season with a triumph.

However, fortune proved favourable in the next European league. At LEC Summer 2022, Rogue finished top-3 in the group stage, and then played a pretty tough play-offs: a 3-2 win over MAD Lions, a 0-3 loss to G2, a small final win over Fnatic, and finally an undisputed championship with a 3-0 win over G2.

Rogue visited Worlds 2022 in October the season before last. They were not expected to make it to Worlds 2022, but Rogue exceeded many expectations by making it to the play-offs. At the end of the tournament, the team finished in the top 8, which is an absolute success for European residents.

In the new season the core of Koi plays for Rogue, which is quite logical, because the club absorbed the slot of the Spanish organisation.

In the first match, Rogue will meet SK Gaming. I expect a win in the first match for the "new" team within the LEC. Next - the game against Heretics and here it will not be easier than in the match with SK: "Heretics" look good, and their roster is probably one of the most combative in the new LEC. In the end Rogue Ledge and Heretics beat G2 Esports, who are considered to be the main favourites for the tournament, but then lost to SK Gaming.

The first week Rogue went 1-2, which is not good, but not critical. But things got much worse, which led Rogue to a 2-6 statistic before Long Sogpeg's final match. And they lost that one, thus finishing in the top 9.

The first week of LEC Spring 2024, Rogue went as they were expected to go 0-3. The situation is already critical and a similar result in this round puts an end to Rogue's prospects of moving on. The second week is going well for Rogue compared to the first, with a win already and an overall score of 1-4.

"Lions" is very disappointing, especially against the background of the top 2 in LEC Winter 2024 and the score 1-4 at the end of the second week - certainly not the result of the vice-champion of the regional split.
