G2 Esports won the Six Invitational 2023
/The G2 Esports team becomes the winner of the Six Invitational 2023, which took place from February 7 to 19 in Canada. In the grand final of the competition, the European team proved to be stronger than w7m esports with a score of 3:1 (Clubhouse - 5:7; Bank - 7:2; Kafe Dostoyevsky - 7:4; Oregon - 8:6). With this win, the team earned a $1,000,000 prize, becoming a two-time Six Invitational champion.
The tournament for the European team started with an excellent performance in the group stage, during which he got three wins (one of them with a score of 2:1), and also suffered one defeat. As a result, the Fabian wards scored 12 points to take second place in Group A and break into the upper bracket of the playoffs.
However, already in the first round, G2 Esports lost to Wolves Esports (0:2), thus falling into the lower bracket. However, here the team managed to pull together to beat FaZe Clan (2:1), DarkZero Esports (2:0), M80 Esports (2:0), Wolves Esports (2:1), Astralis (2:0) and Oxygen Esports one by one (2:0) on the way to the grand final.
In the decisive match of the competition, the European team managed to overcome w7m esports (3:1), thanks to which it became the winner of the Six Invitational 2023 and earned a prize of one million dollars.
Note that Benjamaster was recognized as the best player of the championship. At the same time, the Dane joined G2 Esports just before the start of the event, having moved from the Heroic camp.
