FUSION and E-Xolos LAZER qualified for VCT 2022: Latin America Stage 2 - Challengers Playoffs
/VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Latin America North Stage 2 Challengers has come to an end. As part of the championship, which was held online from May 12 to June 10, six teams from the northern part of South America fought for a prize pool of $15,000, rating points, and two tickets to the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Latin America Stage 2 - Challengers Playoffs. The winner of the tournament was the FUSION team, which in the final of the competition was stronger than E-Xolos LAZER with a score of 2:0. In turn, E-Xolos LAZER was able to get into the playoffs of the regional Challengers, defeating Team Cruelty in the lower bracket with a score of 2:0.
The tournament for the future winner began with a confident performance in the group stage, during which FUSION won four victories, but lost to E-Xolos LAZER (1:2).
Having made it to the playoffs, the Colombian team managed to take revenge on E-Xolos LAZER (2:0), thereby knocking out the first ticket to the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Latin America Stage 2 - Challengers Playoffs.
In turn, E-Xolos LAZER started its way in the tournament with five victories in the group stage. However, in the final of the upper bracket, the team failed to cope with FUSION (0:2). Nevertheless, the Colombian team managed to outplay Team Cruelty (2:0) to get the second slot on the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022: Latin America Stage 2 - Challengers Playoffs.
