Chinese Overwatch League Teams End Saebyeolbe Protest
Ihor MatusSeoul Dynasty 's Park 'Saebyeolbe' Jong Yol has recently expressed his views on China, its domestic politics, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and censorship. Following an opinion that can definitely be considered a bold act, the leadership of the Chinese clubs Chengdu Hunters, Guangzhou Charge, Shanghai Dragons and Hanhzhou Spark, which are participating in the Overwatch League, announced the beginning of a boycott against Saebyolbe. Their protest was expressed in the refusal to participate in any tournaments and other events that involve the presence of a Seoul Dynasty player.
Park 'Saebyeolbe' Jong Yol has publicly apologized to Chinese members of the Overwatch community. Representatives of four Chinese clubs held a council and came to the conclusion that the esportsman's apology was unlikely to be sincere, but, nevertheless, the management of the organizations decided to withdraw their protest.
